Connect Gemini

Gemini asks for a client ID and a secret, so you make a set in PressConduit first. They only open your own sites.

Before you start

• You need to be in the US, 18 or older, and use a personal Google account. Work and school accounts do not work with Gemini custom apps yet.
• In Gemini, Keep Activity must be on.
• You need at least one site connected to PressConduit. See Connect your first site.

Step 1: make your credentials

1. Sign in to PressConduit and open Settings.
2. Find Connect an AI app (Gemini and others).
3. Click Create credentials.
4. Copy the Client ID and the Client secret. The secret is shown only once. If you lose it, click New secret.

Step 2: add PressConduit in Gemini

1. Go to gemini.google.com on a computer.
2. Click Settings, then Connected Apps. (If you do not see it, click Personal Intelligence first.)
3. Under Custom apps, click Add a custom app.
4. Paste this link: https://www.pressconduit.com/mcp
5. Click Show more under Advanced features. Paste your Client ID and Client secret.
6. Click Next and follow the steps on screen. Sign in to PressConduit and approve.

To use it, type @ in a chat and pick PressConduit. Try: "Which of my sites need updates?"

Good to know

• Gemini asks you to confirm anything that changes a site.
• Sign in with the same PressConduit account that made the credentials. If the browser holds sites from another account, sign-in stops on purpose. Try a private window.
• To stop Gemini: in Gemini, open Connected Apps, then PressConduit, then More details, then Disconnect. In PressConduit, delete the credentials in Settings.
• Google does not check custom apps. Only add apps you trust.
