Install the plugin
What the plugin needs, how to install it, and what happens when you activate it.
The plugin is what sits on your WordPress site and does the actual work. Install it once per site.
What your site needs
- WordPress 6.0 or newer.
- PHP 7.4 or newer.
- A page builder is optional. PressConduit has extra tools for Divi and Bricks, and the general WordPress, media, file and admin tools work on any site, including plain ones.
Install it
- Download
pressconduit.zipfrom pressconduit.com/download. Leave it zipped. - In wp-admin, go to Plugins, then Add New, then Upload Plugin.
- Choose the file, click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.
When you activate it, the plugin pairs with PressConduit automatically. You'll see a PressConduit item in the wp-admin menu. Open it to finish the connection. The next step is connect your first site.
Updating later
Turn on automatic updates and you can forget about it. See Keep the plugin up to date.
If activation doesn't seem to do anything
Open the PressConduit menu and click Connect to Conduit. If the site isn't paired yet, that button pairs it first. If you see an error, check Pairing failed.
