Keep the plugin up to date
How updates reach your site, and how to turn on automatic updates.
Some AI tools need a current version of the plugin to work with PressConduit. Staying up to date keeps your connection reliable.
Automatic updates
The plugin can install its own updates in the background. This is on by default. You'll find the switch on the Settings tab of the PressConduit screen in wp-admin, and we recommend leaving it on.
There's a safety rule built in. If an update needs a newer version of WordPress or PHP than your site has, it's never installed automatically. It's held back instead.
How fast an update shows up
When we release a new version, we send every connected site a nudge to check for it. The update notice usually appears within seconds. Without that nudge, WordPress would check twice a day on its own schedule.
Updating by hand
Go to Dashboard, then Updates in wp-admin, or open the Plugins page. If PressConduit has an update, click Update now, like any other plugin.
Checking your version
The PressConduit screen shows a version badge in the header. If you contact support, tell us that number.
The "not tested with your version of WordPress" notice
That notice means the plugin hasn't been tested against your exact WordPress version yet. It's a warning, not an error. We bump the "tested up to" number in the next release, so an update clears it.
